My Favorite Things

Jenna is growing so fast! She is such a sweet, pure, happy little girl. She smiles so much! And when she smiles, her eyes totally light up! Even before she smiled with her mouth, she would smile with her eyes. She has really big, bright eyes, and super long, dark, beautiful eyelashes. She is such a beautiful little girl! She is so sweet and makes me so happy! Here are some more of my favorite things about her:

-When she was a newborn, she would peek at us with one eye open

-She likes to cross her legs like a little lady

-When she is not swaddled, she sleeps with both of her arms up over her head.

-When she sleeps in someone's arms or over their shoulder, she has her hands posed against her face. She will rest her chin in her fist or hold her hands together or fold her arms and rest her cheek on them. It is so cute!

-She is an amazing night time sleeper!
-Sometimes when I ask her questions, she nods or shakes her head. I'm sure it is not intentional but it is sure impressive!

-She has always been very alert and very curious/concerned. She loves to look around, is very good at focusing, and often furrows her eyebrows like she is concerned about something.

-She has been very patient with my inconsistency as I have been learning how to take care of a baby. We are working on establishing a consistent woutine now though.

-Easily entertained. Does not cry unless she really needs something. Likes to play and look at just about anything

-She likes to make spit bubbles and play with her tongue

-Her coos are the cutest thing I have ever heard

-She loves to look at her daddy! Whenever he is around she just stares athime and follows him with her eyes until he is out of the room. When she was really little, she started making eye contact with him way before she would do it with me.

-She is very sweet and cuddly.

Jenna's 8 Week Stats

Height and Weight: 50th percentile
Head Circumference: 38th percentile

For those of you that have been asking about her stats. Here they are. :) We love our little angel so much. She has been such a trooper. We have had such a hard time with feeding her. First we had to start supplementing formula becuase she was losing weight. Then we had to switch from milk based formula to soy, than back to milk, then back to soy, because of gastro intestinal issues. Then I ran out of my milk and had to go completely to formula. Then we switched from Similac to a store brand because the Doctor and loved ones had good experiences that way and advised us too. And now she has super large, and hard stools that she goes through so much pain to pass. My poor little girl has been such a trooper. We are going to switch her back to Similac and hopefully her poor little system will finally regulate. Maybe I can get my milk back, I don't know. Has anyone had issues with this. Do you know of any natural supplements or anything that might help? Oh, I hope we can get her feeling all better soon.

Introducing Jenna Hope

Here is our beautiful baby Jenna. We love her som much! She has brought such a beautiful, warm, loving spirit into our home. Andrew's sister Rachel took some pictures for us. They turned out great, now we just need to go through them all and choose some for her birth announcement. Here are a couple of our favorites. :)

I love the one where she is holding Andrew's finger. Andrew is such a good daddy, he and Jenna are very cute with each other. :)

We Had A Baby!

We had our baby girl! She is so amazing and loving and sweet! She is everything we could have possibly hoped for and more. She was such a trooper through our long delivery process. And she has been so patient with Andrew and I as we have been learning how to feed, change, bathe and soothe her. She has such a strong, beautiful, loving spirit and makes our home feel so warm and wonderful. We love her so much. I never could have imagined feeling such an immensity of love and all at once as I first laid my eyes on her. Parenthood is amazing. Also, we are making our blog private. So if you would like access to it please leave your email address and your blog if you have one as a comment.
Thanks!

Autumn, Birthday and Camera Happy Andrew

We LOVE the season of autumn. The beautiful, vibrantly colored leaves, the cool crispness in the air, the smell of hot apple cider, wearing warm, snuggly sweaters. Oh, it is so wonderful! Even when I got pretty homesick for a while in Minnesota, as soon as Autumn came, I perked right up and couldn't stop smiling. We took a drive through the canyon the other day and enjoyed the red, orange and yellow leaves on the trees in the mountains. Our camera is kind of lame and I do not have a photoshop program so unfortunatly we were not able to catch the actual vibrancy of the colors but here are pictures of some of what we enjoyed.

I also had a Birthday! Yay! It was on a Sunday and it was very nice and relaxing. My mom made me a crazy large, rich cake. It had chocolate, cream cheese and reeses cups.

I only have 4 weeks left until the due date. I am so anxious and excited to nest. I hope I can get at least somewhat organized before the baby comes! We are planning on moving into our own place in two weeks! :)

Andrew took another prego picture of me today. He also took some pictures of me while I was crocheting. He called it 'capturing a classic Kim photo' :). He's a cutie. I love to crochet! I have made a couple of little beanies for the baby to keep her warm. I have also been crocheting flowers to put on the beanies. The picture of the beanie with the flower still needs a button in the middle but yeah. I think once I attach the button the little hat will be so cute! I am excited!

This little baby girl is already so much fun. She wiggles around so much! It is so fun to feel and watch! We are excited for her to come. I just really, really, really hope to be able to nest a little bit before hand so i can get things a little more prepared and organized for her. :)

Happy Fall!

What's In a Name?

Ok, So we are in the process of choosing names. We have some ideas but are open to more. Anyone got any good ideas? When you picture a little Kimandrew girl, do any particular names come to mind? Please share. Some of the names we have been thinking of are Jenna, Lilly, Lindy, Lynlie, Kayla, Lila, Millie, Emmy, Ava, Marissa, Autumn, Taylie, and I really like Skye but Andrew is not so keen on that one sadly. Let us know what you like and any other ideas please. Thanks!
